anyone know how to take the headunit out/??


ive been using stock till now with better speakers but i finally got a deck cuz i wanted an ipod hookup.


i gotta do this quick before work tmrw so i dont want to get lost. what screws do i take out to get the deck out???

if it's anything like the second gen, you pop off the plastic surround (just snaps in there, so tug hard and it'll come out), then there are four screws on the corners of the double din frame, then there will be four screws on the frame holding the head unit to the frame.

when did u get the g coupe? i almost bought an 05 s4 instead of living by campus in an apt but i cant handle the insurance. (i work at audi)

I think it may have been as many as 12 screws total. when you take the frame out, there may be four screws for the top din and four for the bottom din. When you put in an aftermarket head unit though, you'll only need to use four.

I got the G about two weeks ago. I've seen some of your pictures from the dealership on facebook. looks like you get to drive some pretty sweet rides. I'd steer clear of German cars though. They're nice and luxurious, but expensive to repair and often overcomplicated.

yeah i pretty much have to agree. the s4 is sick tho. i am kind of wanting an 04/05 4 runner limited again cuz my parents got a ski boat and i need to tow around myelf if i want to use it hah
