my I.C.E install (finally!)

Finally after 6 months of waiting my amps and sub found their way into my car!!!!

I went for a simple/classic system, based mainly to quality rather than power. Although if I’m in the mood to pump up the volume I have the needed watts to crank it up!

The main idea was to have the right stereo “image” and have the center of the musical scene right above the handbrake area.

The current setup (which will probably stay as it is, as it satisfies me) is the following:

http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j31/Greek_Paseo/icemap.jpg

1. Pioneer DEH-P7700MP head unit
2. Peerless Resolution 6 component speakers (6,5inch, 100wrms)
3. Phoenix Gold QX-2150 amplifier (2-channel, 60wrms per channel @ 4ohm)
4. Phoenix Gold XS-2300 amplifier (2-channel, 300wrms bridged @ 4ohm)
5. A/D/S RS12 subwoofer (dual-coil, 300wrms per coil @ 4ohm)

Plus:
- Eagle power cables
- Custom panel in the doors for the speakers
- Custom panel in the triangles for the tweeters
- Custom subwoofer enclosure (sealed enclosure, around 0.90cf)
- Phoenix Gold fuse box

The only next step that I'm thinking right now, after making the final fine adjustments in the h/u, cross-overs and amps is to sound-dead someparts of the car with "Brown-bread" and maybe if it is needed add a power capacitor.

So here are so pictures, some more will follow:

That's what I thought the first time but the wiring all goes under the floorboard....:puzzled:

Well actually I didn't got a pic with the sub enclosure in :P

I'll get some more pics when I can along with the doors closed.

The whole system rocks! Even Riko that is against such things (extra weight and waste of money) would cry with tears of joy if he listens his "vomits" with this setup.

The wires are going below the rear passengers seats thats why they are positioned like this.

I'm thinking in the future to make another custom enclosure in the right side of the trunk to in order to have more space and have the amps in common view.

This is the sub box that was made after many measurements in order to have the need cubic feet for optimal performance and fast and "tight" bass combined with an ergonomic shape.

http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j31/Greek_Paseo/STA71549.jpg

And this is the final result with the sub fitted and installed in the car

I've tested many times the right angle, until I decide were the tweeters should be mounted, as this specific sets is amazing when the tweeters "look at you", and they are focused on the center of the music "scene" of the car. If the are mounted in the angle the are no better than a "no name" 5 buck tweeter. This is a general rule for most tweeter of such components that are mainly focused to quality.

By butchering the standards triangles, checking the right angle, using a lot of polyester, sandpaper and stucco. And I didn't do it myself due to lack of tools and knowledge. I had them made by a pro.

Aw man, I gotta do me some a' dem TWEETS!
One thing is for sure, a 'Seo soundstage is on the floor without any upper speakers; you can't even hardly hear my door speakers over the rear deck and sub, but the dash units put out allright when I crank it hard.
